Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge still has about 3 scholarships for our Medal of Honor Legacy summer grad program for Washington state teachers. We have two sessions with openings: July 19 – 24; and July 26 – 31. Each will explore WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan through the lens of the Medal of Honor and its recipients. Scholars like David Eisenhower (UPenn), Greg Urwin (Temple), Greg Daddis(West Point), Eric Davis (Rutgers), and Dick Anderegg (USAF) will lecture. Medal of Honor Recipients General Patrick Brady, Colonel Leo Thorsness, and General James Livingston will also speak at the program. Participants will receive a signed copy of the memoir of the MOH recipient speaking at their program.

Teachers will receive materials and training on the Medal of Honor Character Development program, which includes video vignettes of nearly 125 MOH Recipients telling their stories and talking about how character traits like courage, integrity, commitment, sacrifice, patriotism, and citizenship help us make good decisions.
$300 Travel Stipends Are Included.
Valued at $1,400, the scholarships for this program include accommodations at Freedoms Foundation in Valley Forge, PA, most meals, one grad credit from Immaculata University (additional credits are $150 each), and a half day tour of Philadelphia.
